Nothing has changed in Salzburg

Theodor Herzl quote on Salzburg tablet

I spend some of the most happiest hours of my life in Salzburg and would have liked to stay in the beautiful city, however, as a Jew I had no change to become a judge here.” (Theodor Herzl quote on a memorial plate in Salzburg)

130 years later, I made almost the same experience visiting Salzburg for two days. It still is a beautiful city (in parts), I had some happy hours there – and finally – guess what! – nobody offered me an appointment as judge. Unbelievable.
