Help the Georgian Community

Help the Georgian Community

August 15, 2008

We are all troubled by the war in Georgia, and are concerned with the well-being of all the citizens of that country. There is a vibrant Jewish community in Georgia, which is in danger. Several Jewish organizations have personnel there and are engaging in a variety of relief efforts. We urge all synagogues to pray for the cessation of hostilities and for the well-being of all who are in danger. Those who wish to contribute to relief efforts are advised to send donations to either:

United Jewish Communities Georgian Relief
PO Box 30
Old Chelsea Station, New York 10113

or

Vaad L’Hatzalas Nidchei Yisrael
1566 Coney Island Avenue
Brooklyn, New York 11230

One Response to Help the Georgian Community

  1. Dennis says:

Still in peaceful dreams, I see
The road leads back to you.

Georgia, Georgia, no peace, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song, keeps Georgia on my mind.

I said: Just an old sweet song, keeps Georgia on my mind.
